David's sister Crystal arrived. One of our Blue Suede Shoes Hibiscus was in full bloom, so Crystal posed for us with it in her hair. We went shopping to get lots of great food for when the folks arrive the next day. The day ended back at Chinatown to show Crystal the Chinese New Year Celebration going on.

Thomas Square (04/04/08) : Aloha,
David was on his way to work and noticed that they were cutting a tree down in Thomas Square so he stopped to take some photos of that and the surrounding buildings. He is disappointed cause no one honored the tree and they just chopped it down with no regard to life.

WILD & Waikiki : March 7- I joined the E Ne`epapa Kakou: Chanting our History in Unison class for KCC's WILD day which was a great day of fun and informative professional development activities. The chant was facilitated by Palakiko Yagodich & Joe Yoshida. Chants of old tell us where we have been and where we are going. We chanted a mele ka`i and walked around Le`ahi while learning about her famous wahi pana (noted landmarks). Palakiko Yagodich taughted us a Hawaiian chant as we walked around Diamond Head. I had to leave early and go back but got lots of video. March 8-We meet up with Kim and Jaz at the park next to the Hilton for a BBQ.
